About
I'm Uttam Verma, a second-year Computer Science student at Kashi Institute of Technology in Varanasi. I got into programming because I wanted to build things people could actually use — not just solve problems on a whiteboard.
My first real project was a Nike landing page clone. Pure HTML, CSS, JavaScript. No frameworks, no shortcuts. It taught me that fundamentals matter more than any library. From there I moved to React, then Node.js, then full-stack — each project pulling me deeper into the stack because I kept running into problems that needed the next layer.
Right now I'm most excited about real-time systems and AI-powered applications. My chat app taught me how messy WebSocket connections get at scale. EcoPackAI showed me that ML isn't magic — it's data cleaning, feature engineering, and a lot of patience. These are the kinds of problems I enjoy: ones where the code has to actually work under pressure, not just pass a demo.
I'm looking for software engineering internships where I can work on real products with real users. I learn fast, I ship working code, and I care about the details — from API design to deployment to the spacing between elements on a page.
